Dr. Vishwajeet 普里 joined newbb电子平台 Heritage College as part of a cluster hire, designed to attract high-quality talent, for the 糖尿病研究所 in 2015. Dr. 普里 is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry at Panjab University, India. After receiving his doctorate from the Institute of Microbial Technology in the field of biochemistry and Biophysics, he completed his post-graduate training at the Mayo Clinic and Foundation in Rochester Minnesota. Prior to joining newbb电子平台 in 2015, Dr. 普里 worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the 波士顿 University School of Medicine, 波士顿, 2009-2015年马萨诸塞州. 2005-2009年期间, he worked as a 研究 Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. 普里 is internationally recognized for identifying the function of CIDE proteins and their role in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of obesity, 2型糖尿病, 还有心血管疾病. 普里 lab uses various humanized mouse models and human clinical studies to identify molecular pathways regulating these diseases and identifying potential therapeutic targets. Dr. Elizabeth 贝弗利 is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where she also received her doctorate in behavioral health. She completed her post-graduate training at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School in 波士顿 Massachusetts. She joined the newbb电子平台 Heritage College in 2013 and became an investigator member, 执行委员会成员, and has played integral roles in a variety of committees for the 糖尿病研究所. 2022年博士. 贝弗利 was appointed as the Co-Director of the institute.
Dr. 贝弗利’s research in diabetes focuses on understanding the linkages among psychosocial issues, 自我保健, 健康结果. She employs mixed methodology to examine the culture and context of diabetes self-management in a rural and underserved region of Appalachian Ohio.
